Emily Tian is an artist and designer based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia, originally from Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Aotearoa New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from RMIT University and is currently studying an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts. Alongside her studio practice, she works as a freelance graphic designer, bringing a strong sense of composition and colour to her art.

Working primarily in oil painting, her practice focuses on figurative portraiture and intimate depictions of family and everyday life. Drawing on her Chinese heritage, she explores themes of cultural identity, memory, and connection.

Emily specialises in graphic design, marketing, brand identity, publication design, motion graphics, and illustration. With a particular passion for integrating her artistic skills—painting and drawing—into innovative design projects.

Currently open for commissions, freelance projects, or any inquiries.
